Environment

Harley Rouda knows that protecting the environment and growing the economy are not mutually exclusive goals, and that is why he supports making Southern California the clean tech capital of the world. He also is a staunch opponent of offshore oil drilling.

Immigration

Harley Rouda will work to uphold traditional American values that include keeping families together, etc. He says that "We must protect our borders, but not by tearing apart families and our communities."

Guns

Harley Rouda supports mandatory background checks for all gun buyers. He thinks that we must create a federal database to track gun sales.

Homelessness

Harley Rouda supports homes for everyone, especially lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) Americans. He says that "Everyone should have a fair chance to earn a living and provide a home for their family without fear of harassment or discrimination, and that is why I – along with 70 percent of Americans – support the Equality Act calling for non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ Americans."
