Jessica Morse is running to unseat Tom McClintock.

Environment

Jessica Morse thinks Congress should invest in energy storage and renewable energy. She says we should put a price on carbon that impacts the communities to reduce carbon emissions. Living in a National-Park filled district, Jessica knows we need to defend our National Parks from Donald Trump and the interior department.

Guns

In Congress, Jessica Morse will work to keep guns out of the wrong hands and support a ban on assault weapons in order to keep "war" (she phrases it as "weapons of war) out of our communities.

Immigration

Jessica Morse knows that immigrants help keep this country moving forward. In Congress, she will work to pass the Dream Act. She says that "Dreamers are Americans, in every way except a piece of paper." She is a staunch opposer of Trump's plan to deport 11 million illegal immigrants back to their home countries.

Homelessness and Helping the Poor

Jessica Morse is a supporter of Medicare, Medicaid, etc. that help our poor communities. Most of those in her district are seniors, as they make up 20 percent of the population there. Jessica also supports ensuring access to quality and affordable healthcare. Since Tom McClintock voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, she will be a crucial voice in defending that law enacted by the Obama Administration in March of 2010. Jessica is also a supporter of a universal (single-payer) healthcare system nationally.
